Danny Sullivan Says Farewell to Search Engine Watch Hello to Search Engine Land

As noted in the Bruce Clay blog that I read regularly and mentioned across the bogosphere Danny Sullivan is leaving Search Engine Watch. Yesterday was his last day, he has posted a fare-the-well post to his supporters and peers .

In his post he recollects the history of SEW, it's creation, success and expansion. Many of us visit SEW forums regularly and are very fond of Danny's work. I, for one, will be following him to his new perch at Search Engine Land to continue following the master.

Danny is also taking along quite a few fellow writers, I think SEL will be a hit site in no time. It's talent base is impecable already and though he's splitting with his "baby", SEW, he's leaving optimistically and professionally. As he's clearly stated he holds no grudge and plans to point to SEW in his future posts, both in reference to his former works and to anything worthy of linking to in the future.

It's a good read and if you want to say goodbye there's a thread available to do so.

But remember the following quote put best in the Bruce Clay blog:

If you want to say goodbye to Danny, a thread has been started over at Search Engine Watch. However, let’s remember that Danny is moving to Search Engine Land, he’s not dying. Let’s try and keep those comments meaningful, but upbeat. Got it?

And, if you're interested in checking out his new digs, here's Search Engine Land.
